MIZUSHIMA Eiji (Professor) : Museum Study, Information Science in Museums, Digital Archives
I am interested in the research of museum artifacts or heritage objects of high cultural values. I am also interested in the study of historical buildings and architecture; as well as museum archives.
Particularly, I specialize in the studies of different classification systems / schemes, thesauri, knowledge systems that are designed for managing digital archives under the museum settings.
My research also includes the studying of various online or reference tools used for the cataloging of cultural objects . My studies aim to contribute to the overall understanding, as well as presentation of the museum and cultural artifacts, with the hope of enabling us to relate to objects, and their cultural and temporal contexts in multiple ways.
