TATEISHI Shinji (Assistant Professor) : Higher Education Studies, Sociology of Education, Career Education Studies
The foundation of my research interest lies in how higher education systems can contribute to career formation. Previously, my research has focused on transfer admission systems, the career development of university faculty, and specifically, the middle management layer within faculty. This has led to an expanding interest in educational management and Institutional Research (IR) in university. My current concern revolves around the effectiveness of IR in supporting decision-making. Drawing from my experience in policy-oriented research on career education and guidance in primary and secondary education, I am also interested in the nature of career education practices within schools.
