KOBARU Akie (Assistant Professor) : content analysis of textbook, sociology of curriculum, inquiry-based learning
I've been researching how the curriculum emphasizing the development of thinking skills has changed by examining curriculum policies and changes in textbook content for the Japanese high school civics course “Contemporary Society.” Currently, I'm conducting fieldwork in high schools to understand how students shape their understanding of social issues through inquiry-based learning. This research aims to investigate how inquiry-based learning, which aims to develop students' thinking skills, influences their socialization.
