CHEN Yingting (Specially Appointed Assistant Professor) : Meeting science, teamwork, facilitation, complex problem solving, team cognition, collaboration analysis, intervention design
My research focuses on cognitive facilitation in teams engaged in complex problem-solving, particularly on self-facilitation, where members actively coordinate discussions and stimulate collaboration. I use empirical investigation and design research to examine how factors such as thinking styles, interpersonal trust, and task complexity shape team dynamics. Through the development and evaluation of analog and digital support tools—such as real-time visualization systems—I aim to generate both practical solutions and theoretical insights that contribute to more effective and inclusive teamwork across diverse real-world environments.
